Drivers no longer need to carry a license. For that, you have to keep your license details in the citizen app. The driver leaves only after showing his license at the traffic police check point. According to Netra Prasad Subedi, Spokesperson and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the license details stored in the citizen app will be used only if the traffic rules are not violated. Subedi informed that if the driver violates the traffic rules, action will be taken as usual.
SSP Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, Spokesperson of the Valley Traffic Police Office, said that this facility was given only to get information about whether the driver has a license or not. "Especially, drivers are found driving without a license on the road, due to which accidents occur. To bring such drivers under the ambit of action, the traffic has set up emergency check points at various places," Bhatt told Ratopati. The rest of the other actions are as per normal conditions.'
