Hyundai has reduced the price of one electric vehicle by 2.3 million
The price of Hyundai's electric vehicles in Nepal has also decreased after the government reduced the tax on electric vehicles through the budget presented recently. Lakshmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the official distributor of Hyundai for Nepal, has published the new price through its website.
According to the new price list, the price of Hyundai Kona electric vehicle has been reduced by 23 lakh rupees. Among the two models of Kona Electric available in the Nepali market, one has a capacity of 100 KW and the other 150 KW.
The price of Kona with 100 kW capacity has decreased from 76 lakh 96 thousand to 56 lakh 96 thousand. In this, the price has decreased by 20 lakh rupees. The price of another 150 kW Kona Electric has been reduced by Rs 23 lakh from Rs 94 lakh 96 thousand to Rs 71 lakh 96 thousand.
Another Hyundai electric vehicle available in the Nepali market is the Ionic EV. The price of Ionic with 100 kW capacity has been fixed at Rs 57 lakh 96 thousand from Rs 76 lakh 96 thousand. In this, the price has decreased by 19 lakh rupees.
Automobile companies were forced to publish new price lists due to the increase in excise duty and customs tax through last year's budget. Through the recently presented budget, the excise duty has been abolished completely and the customs rate has also been reduced significantly.
According to this, the Economic Ordinance has set a customs rate of 10 percent on electric cars, jeeps and vans with a capacity of up to 100 kW, and only 15 percent on vehicles with a capacity of 100 kW and up to 200 kW.
