Hyundai will bring two new SUVs to Nepal

Lakshmi Intercontinental Pvt Ltd, the official dealer of Hyundai, has started preparations to bring two new models to the market. The two new SUVs that the company will bring to the market will have one petrol model and the other electric model.

Hyundai has prepared to bring Exeter micro SUV produced in India and new generation Kona electric SUV produced in Korea to Nepal.Company sources said that the price of both these SUVs will be between 35 lakh to 75 lakh rupees. The company also exhibited Exeter micro SUV at the last NADA Auto Show 2023.

The customer has made a good number of inquiries. According to this, we will bring the Exeter SUV to the market by the end of January, company sources told MeroAuto.

 

Hyundai's new generation Kona, which has started selling in the international market, is currently the most popular model. The new Kona gets an interior inspired by the Ioniq-5.

Kona Electric, which has a bigger battery, more range and size than before, will also come to Nepal this year.

Such is Exeter

Hyundai will bring Exeter to Nepal with the slogan 'Think Outside, Think Exeter'. Produced to address the growing SUV craze, Exeter features sporty black roof rails and a dynamic black rear spoiler. That is why it is very sporty.

Winner of the 'Indian Car of the Year 2024' award, Exeter features an attractive dashboard, well-designed AC vents, infotainment screen, door trim layout, climate control knob, three-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster.

 

Exeter has been made a fully loaded SUV with features like cruise control, 6 airbags in the standard variant, electric sunroof, tire pressure monitoring system, rear AC vent, push start button, keyless entry.

 

Exeter, which has a very boxy design, has a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated engine, alloy wheels, futuristic design, H-shaped LED daytime running lights. 185 mm ground clearance and 19.2 kmpl mileage can be found.

The new generation Kona

Along with the design of Hyundai's new generation Kona Electric, other features have changed. The company has replaced the existing 39.2 kWh battery with a larger battery of 48.6 kWh.

The new Kona has gone on sale in the US market. Its price is approximately 34 thousand US dollars. Along with this, the issue of its high price came to the media. However, it has not yet been decided at what price Nepal will come.

Kona is now available in the Nepali market with a 39.2 kWh battery pack. Its price ranges from 60 lakh to 65 lakh rupees. Now the upcoming Kona will have an additional 9.4 kWh battery, so it seems that the price may also be more expensive.

Hyundai has provided 99 kW and 150 kW electric motors in the new Kona. It seems certain that the Kona coming to Nepal will have a 99 kW motor. Similarly, with a 150 KW motor, the battery will also have a 64 KWh battery.

 

The company has increased the capacity to support the 7.2 kW charger that was used earlier to support the on-board AC charger of 10.8 kW. The fast charger capacity has also been increased, making it complete from 10 to 80 percent in 43 minutes.
