BYD today launched its popular electric car SEAL in Thailand. The company said that 1 thousand 104 units were sold within an hour of the launch of the car. Out of which 39 people were given cars immediately. The new car has been made available by BYD in Thailand in three trims. As in Nepal, due to the right hand drive system in Thailand, the company could not export it immediately after launching it in China.
With the launch in Thailand, it can be assumed that this new car will come to Nepal. The audience was extremely interested in the seal brought for exhibition at the recently concluded NADA Auto Show in Nepal. In the fair, customers who inquired about this car were informed by the official distributor Cymex Inc. that the sale will start soon.
Built on BWD's E-Platform 3.0 architecture, the Seal is a premium sedan car with 4800 mm length, 1875 mm width, 1460 mm height and 2920 mm wheelbase. In its entry level variant, BYD has provided a 61.4 KWh LFP blade battery, while the other variant has a 82.5 KWh battery pack. Another variant is also available with a dual motor in the battery pack of the same capacity.
It is claimed that the entry level variant of SEAL will give a range of 510 km on a single charge, while the long range variant will give 650 km and the other powerful variant with dual motor will give 580 km. In Thailand, its price has been maintained from 36 thousand 200 to 43 thousand 700 dollars.
