For the financial year 2080/81, most of the state governments have increased the annual tax on two-wheelers. The annual tax applicable from July 1 is very high in the three provinces. The Bagmati state government has imposed the highest tax on two-wheelers. The Bagmati state government has imposed a tax ranging from 3,000 to 35,000 rupees based on the engine capacity of motorcycles and scooters. If you ride a motorcycle registered in Bagmati province, you will pay the highest tax.
In addition to Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini also have high taxes. Motorcycles registered in these two provinces, which are taxed almost the same as Bagmati, will also have to pay more tax. Comparatively, the Sudurpaschim government has imposed low taxes on the citizens who own two-wheelers. In the far west, the lowest tax is 2500 to 9000 rupees only.
If you have a motorcycle above 650 cc, paying 24,000 less annual tax in Sudurpaschim than in Bagmati Province is sufficient. Governments of Karnali, Madhesh and Koshi states have imposed almost the same taxes. This is the annual tax based on the engine capacity established for the financial year 2080/81 according to the state.
